Hey! Everything in this competition were awesome. The AVPs and the Ignite speeches. Cheers to the people who won all the trophies. We're finally doing our best to compete in the overall and final event of our term. By the way, this is us before the competition, getting ready for everything that we can give and express throughout this piece, credits to Ron Padilla. The biggest and the enormous thrill were the performances. I was astonished by how the different blocks managed to do that kind of choreography most especially our section. wooooooooooooh. Expect the unexpected it is. I feel bad to the other contestants of the speech choir that didn't made through and we're one of them.

I feel bad by how the way it was, like you know, other blocks cheers for us, waiting for us to win but suddenly, we didn't. We were like **** that shit. Well played CPE151, well played. We were shocked by that tho. It's hard for us to attain but damn that was a hurt. Well, anyway we still have a trophy from Giuzellie Filoteo, our representative for the Ignite speech. Another cheers to ABMA151 for bagging most trophies. hahahah Thank you guys!

Here is us now after the competition. Although we didn't won the trophy, we still won our hearts. Good Job ABMA152 and still, Congratulations. We are family at all, and family means, no one gets left behind because we're good not bad, and we'll never be bad and that is good. :D farewell to all of us. To our EEP professor, Miss Eliz Reyes, Thank you Mam! You're the great one and you know that and everyone knows it as well. See you again next semester! Goodluck!

The Phantom of the Opera
Of all the play I've watched, this is the most amazing, unbelievable play I've ever watched. The beauty and the deep understanding of the story of the phantom that lead me to chills like I'm feeling that the phantom was with me there watching this play. This play left me speechless and I have nothing more to say.

The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall is a 2011 British film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1986 musical The Phantom of the Opera, which in turn was based on the French novel Le Fantôme de l'Opéra by Gaston Leroux.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera, three special performances were filmed at the Royal Albert Hall, the third of which was screened live worldwide on 2 October 2011.(Ref:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Phantom_of_the_Opera_at_the_Royal_Albert_Hall)

Prior to the 2004 movie version of The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum, the Phantom has undergone several screen adaptions.

It is not just the figure of the mysterious music lover that haunts the story of The Phantom of the Opera but also that of the remarkable American film star, Lon Chaney Snr., for, more than anyone else, he created the image most readily associated in the public mind with the tale – that of the disfigured man skulking through the labyrinths of l’Opéra masterminding the career of his beautiful protégée. Indeed, it is arguable that if Chaney, the Man of a Thousand Faces, had not starred in that hugely influential 1925 silent movie, Gaston Leroux’s story might well have remained in obscurity – as the original book most certainly has done for many years – instead of inspiring a whole series of screen and stage adaptations during the past half century.

“The Opera ghost really existed. He was not, as was long believed, a creature of the imagination of the artists, the superstition of the managers, or the absurd and impressionable brains of the young ladies of the ballet, their mothers, the box-keepers, the cloak-room attendants, or the concierge. No, he existed in flesh and blood, though he assumed all the outward characteristics of a real phantom, that is to say, of a ghost.”

– Gaston Leroux

Here's a sneek peak, enjoy! :D

Well, Once upon a time, there is me. Me, me, me, me and me. hahaha nah, just kidding. Wait, let me ask you a question, have you ever think of a short story? have you every created a story? have you ever made a story? Well, in this blog, let's find some out.

The Creative Story Telling

I think these stories were made for fun but somehow it looks educational to me. Their topics were well determined and well performed. I was stunned by some stories because it gave me chills like my hair is standing higher although my hair is already standing. And some are... uhh... you know? some I lacked interest with. It's hard to describe and express the story in front. The only one of the best for me was the story of the Legend of Bawang, correct me if I'm wrong because i forgot the title. It was the only performance who gave chills to everyone, the one that is so serious like damn that was so fine.

Aaand here we are for the next one,
Confessions of a Book-a-holic

It's fun how being a bookaholic give you so much to learn and give in. There's this quote I saw earlier stating

“Old books exert a strange fascination for me – their smell, their feel, their history; wondering who might have owned them, how they lived, what they felt.” Lauren Willig.

I like how this quote sums up so well what I love about old or second hand books. I like to romanticize the idea that books have two stories, one the words on the paper, and second the story of all the people who have picked the novel up and formed thoughts about it. How did they feel about the book? Why did they pick it up? What was going on in their life at the time?
Yes Yes, I love books too because who knows, it might be true. I'm not a bookaholic, it's just that I like reading some especially knowledgeable ones like the books of NatGeo, Discovery and many more. It's hard for me to describe the whole story of me loving to read books. But let me tell you some confessions of some students in being a bookaholic.

They said that being a bookaholic helps you improve or hone your knowledge, imagination and creativity that would possibly help you along if you want to create a good and interesting story. I see their faces giving in the feelings telling that being a bookaholic is the best thing you can ever live with. There's this another line again that will help you along,

“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.”– J.K. Rowling

PUBLIC SPEAKING!!!!

Before everything goes around, a lot of things happened, and those things were great. Public speakers were assign to different rooms with different judges and sub judges, while the rest remained seated. I was wondering what will happen to us who remained inside the auditorium. Well, guess what? they said that we will be having a fun activity. Like we're still children, yay fun activities, cheers to that. The activity were held by the APC Speaks along with some English Resource Center (ERC) people.
I never knew what will the activity look like but here's one image that sites the first activity, the "Speed SPeech". You will be given with 5 different topics and you just have to make a speech out of it as fast as you can. 10 seconds per topic and each topic must be connected or you must relate all the topic every other topic.

Well, the second activity was the debate. Sorry if there's no image of it. The debate where we, you know, throw words at each other. The greatest example were held by 3 APC Cluster members with Ms. Nina Javier De Leon. They're debating about "What's more delicious? Sinigang or Adobo?". It's a great opportunity for me to be part of the game but as I am trying to defend my case, I failed. I'm not good in debating in english, I'm just good in debating in tagalog. Anyway, Let's move to the next topic.

The Public Speaking Competition

Hey hey hey again! Public Speaking! Public! Speaking! hahahaha. I don't know why I make fun of this but they're speeches left me speechless tho. Understanding their own and unbelievable statements and examples in giving the best speech for the topic "Integrity has no need of rules". Some said they cram and made it through. The most or the best speech that left me speechless was the speech of Tyrone Santos. I was like, WOW! such beauty of gesture and fluency of speech. He was the one that made the crowd wild. As if, they're the one winning. Here are some pictures:

I know the picture looks terrible but It's a great honor for us to be part of this event called "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?". Everyone will be encourage of course, why not? I thought it would be the same like the one in the television but it is somehow almost like that. I see good faces and expecting good and tricky questions and so it does. Yes! Millionaire, a big play that gives great motivation and knowledge to people who inspires to be a millionaire. I know it's hard for us not to be part of the game because there were only few selected students from each blocks, however, at least we have representatives right? :D

So here's the big event now, getting started. Contestants were shivering, asking each other like "what to do now?", "do you think we will win?", by these kind of reactions, it may affect their performance along with the game itself. It might give them nervous feels like every time, mental block? or just some random guesses. Blockmates were cheering and yelling "go (block)!" and we were just sitting there like "oh yes, just believe in yourself." Hhahaha, I find  that funny tho. The mechanics were easy to understand, same as the criteria of the game.

So here it really is! It already started! There are levels of question. The higher the level, the harder the question. But it didn't turned out to be like that, like for example the hard lever, there were still questions that are easy to answer without even thinking. We made it to the semifinals then made it again to the final round. I didn't expect that to happen although there are questions that were misunderstood and forgot or didn't know the answer. To be honest, while me and jericho were watching the game, we answered the questions from the easiest (first round) to the hardest (final round). We just guessed some and got it right, however, our representatives weren't able to answer them. Upon reading the questions, most of them are logical and tricky that will make you go skazaammmm, but there's no other way but guess the answer randomly. Hahaha! I'm still proud of it because we managed to reach the final round even though there were obstacles along. If Peter Pan said that he do believes in magic, then for us we just have to believe in ourselves.

Guess who? guess what? do I ever have to say that? No, no just kidding. A man of great speech, Let's welcome, Benjamin Alves! :D

Yeah boyyy! It's him! Benjamin Franklin! hahahaha just kidding again. It's Benjamin Alves. Yes, yes it's him 100% 1080p hahaha.a Filipino actor and model under GMA Network and also the nephew of the big guy Piolo Pascual. Benjamin Sapida used to be called Vince Saldaña when he was just starting out in a reality show for cute boys. Today, he’s known as Benjamin Alves and his body of work consists of movies, afternoon soaps on tv, and walking and posing in his Bench Body underwear a couple of years back. Some body of work, actually.

Hey Hey Hey! It's his Birthday! wooooooooooooooh! Cheers to this guy for all his achievements. I was able to admire his works of speech and his talent of acting especially on the film "Sana Dati" by Jerrold Tarog. It was a great time hanging with him in his birthday celebration in our school. Of all the schools here in manila, we're luckily chosen to be part of his big day. A part of his goals is being an actor, which lead him to a great new adventure. A great opening or welcome to his new life. The man that brought the audience from film "Sana Dati" to tears. A great chill, a great feels of emotion and romance.

Happy Happy Birthday again to this guy right here! woooh again! hahaha. Girls were yelling, guys were eating and there he his right in front speaking. A big thanks to him because of the souvenir he gave and the foods, although the foods were too many even the zagus hahahahah xD. There's this one thing he said that made us inspire him, "If you have something in your mind that you can't express, just write it down instead."

At the first glance, I am thinking of who he is? what's his purpose there at school? I said to myself that he looks familiar, I think I have seen him somewhere. That was my reaction towards this guy after seeing him along while I'm buying some drinks at the convenience store. My friends told me that "yeah he's an artist plus a comedian from the past, well until now I think?" So I started to say "ohh, that's why", and they keep saying the "yeah" word. Hahahaaha it was very funny, until one moment came, luckily he was able to fit in in the elevator we are riding.

I didn't knew that he was the one being told, the one they said "behold, Jon Santos", then the crowd started to cheer and yell like "woooooh" and I was like "wooooh the what?" hahahaha then my friends were laughing at me again. Then he started his speech upon holding the microphone saying and expressing himself as a gay who grew in a family of military men. As I was searching through, he is one of the three Philippine show business personalities who have Argawanon blood. He is more popularly known as a Filipino comedian, actor and most especially an impersonator.

He was there, right in front of us, speaking for the passion of us students. I thought that it would be something unsual but he was telling it directly to the point where we really need that in order to achieve our passion. There are 10 things that he said that would make us or help us improve along and achieve the lifetime goal, and the following are:

1. Listen
2. Learn to enrich
3. Learn what you love
4. Knowledge is everything
5. Win the war before you fight it ( A statement he quoted at the book " The Art Of War by Sun Tzu)
6. Adjust, adapt and evolve.
7. Learn to look back
8. Learn what your divine is
9. You are never alone in your journey
10. Lose yourself

When you're reading this, it's simple right? but for me its not. I guess it will take me years to achieve this because who knows how great can you be in the next years. All of what he said was inspirational and educational as well. What he said is not just a word, a group of words that would mean nothing, instead, what he said was the best of the best he was when he was growing up. No wonder he made it through and expanded it more and more.

Here's a great quote from a great man that inspired me more after hearing Jon Santos' speech,
"It always seems impossible until it's done."-Nelson Mandela
